Philip Seymour Hoffman has signed up to appear in 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire'. The star was offered the role in the 'Hunger Games' sequel last month and has now officially accepted the part. Philip joins a cast which includes returning stars Liam Hemsworth, Elizabeth Banks, Woody Harrelson, Stanley Tucci, Lenny Kravitz and Donald Sutherland. 'The Hunger Games: Catching Fire' will be released on November 22, 2013.

Christian Bale is happy that he got to become friends with Heath Ledger before he died. The pair worked together on 'The Dark Knight' in which Christian played Batman and Heath his arch nemesis The Joker and although the Australian star died in 2008 from an accidental ''toxic combination of prescription drugs'', ''Of course, I have absolutely wonderful memories [of Heath]. I'm very proud that I got to know him as a friend, and work with him, and he's as much a part of this movie, 'The Dark Knight Rises', as he was 'The Dark Knight'. ''He created such a wonderful portrayal, that will always be remembered, and I'm very proud to have been a part of that.'' Christian also ruled out a return to the superhero franchise now he has completed the third and final installment in the Christopher Nolan-directed movie series. He said: ''I believe Christopher Nolan when he says it (a reboot) won't be from him, and therefore it will not be me. But I absolutely do believe there will be a reboot, and I'm very fascinated to see what incarnation that will take.''

An upcoming sequel to Oscar-winning movie Raging Bull has been thrown into jeopardy after bosses behind the original film filed a lawsuit in a bid to stop production. Executives at MGM, the studio behind the 1980 classic, are suing the producers of Raging Bull II and Jake LaMotta, the boxer whose life story was the basis for the first film, which starred Robert De Niro. The lawsuit, filed on Tuesday, alleges LaMotta, 91, should have offered MGM the rights to his 1986 sequel book first and the studio bosses fear the follow-up will tarnish the reputation of the original.

Thriller, the King of Pop's 13-year-old former pet, died of lung cancer at actress-and-activist Tippi Hedren's wildlife preserve in California earlier this month. ''She was about as tough a tiger as we have known here. She ruled over her brother Sabu. She was the queen. We were fascinated by her dominance.'' Thriller and Sabu lived at Michael's Neverland Ranch until he moved out in 2006 and asked Tippi to take the big cats to her Shambala Preserve.

The 'Anger Management' actor had an erratic 2011 - even though he successfully completed home treatment for substances and alcohol, he said rehab is not for him. Charlie, who is now drug free but still drinks alcohol, told 'Good Morning America': ''I don't believe in rehab anymore. It's not for me. It's not a one-size-fits-all and it didn't fit me.'' ''We live in a country where it's always Miller Time so what are you going to do? It's happy hour somewhere in the world.'' Charlie does regret some of his outbursts, Charlie's new series, 'Anger Management', sees him portray a therapist, and he drew on his own experience for the show. Kimberly Griggs filed paperwork in San Diego, claiming she had an intimate relationship with Jackson in 1979. She goes on to suggest he detailed the alleged romance on albums including Thriller, Bad and Dangerous and is suing over allegations the late star exposed her personal secrets and promised to give her the rights to the tracks.The handwritten lawsuit, obtained by TMZ.com, demands $1 billion in damages.
