Champaign had seven charting singles in its career, so it's hard to believe that it took this long for a label to put together a retrospective of the group's best moments. So here it is, The Very Best of Champaign, a disc from Collectables that contains most of the hits -- "How 'Bout Us," "Let Your Body Rock," "Off and On Love," "This Time" -- and several notable album cuts. It's puzzling that neither "Try Again" nor "I'm on Fire" is present, but the disc remains an adequate overview, and it should obviate the need for any of the spotty studio albums.
