Album Review

First Time I Met the Blues is essentially the same album as Complete Recorded Works 1930-1936 issued by Document Records, with one additional track, an alternate (but hardly vital) version of "Louisiana Blues." Both releases contain Little Brother Montgomery's prewar output on the Paramount and Bluebird labels. Flip a coin, they're the same recordings, but the Document issue might be easier to find.
