's solo albums. For the rest, on which he was co-billed with his backup band, the American Men, Bonds
was for the first time his own boss, and he proved he could come up with sturdy rock & roll songs, although nothing to match his early hits or the songs Bruce Springsteen
wrote for him in the early '80s.
