Silent Hill has always been one of my favorite video game franchises, so when the first film hit in 2006 I was very excited. It did not disappoint, hitting most of the same beats as the first game and capturing the look and feel of Silent Hill. Despite this the first movie failed to really make a big impression, with many calling it slow and boring. After a six year wait the sequel Silent Hill: Revelation finally hits the big screen. It seems the filmmakers were very concerned with the slow and boring comments from the first movie as they have upped the action quite a bit. However this has been done at the expense of the story. Silent Hill: Revelations is nowhere near as complete a film as the first entry.  It does get its story across but sometimes further explanation or examinations are sacrificed for the next scare.  Silent Hill: Revelation does have some beautiful creatures and the 3D effects are wonderfully done, it really does suck you into the world. It would just be nice if there was some more story depth to that world.
