Someone is at your door wanting to see your Hydro bill?

Hydro Ottawa is warning citizens that it's not them! What do you if this happens to you?

First off, Hydro Ottawa recommends you DO NOT give a copy of your electricity bill to a representative of an electricity retailer unless you are agreeing to sign a contract. Your bill contains personal and private information.

Secondly, report the incident and finally, keep in mind that Hydro Ottawa is not licensed to sell electricity contracts and our employees do not knock on doors asking for customers’ bills.
