Creepy or cool?!
Fetus sculptures... Michelle & I are not sure what to think about this one... creepy or cool!? Would you actually give this as a baby shower gift?
A Japanese engineering company is using new technology to build fetus sculptures based on sonograms.
Yep! The company, Fasotec, will generate a 3D sonogram they use to send to a 3D printer. The result is a plastic model of the unborn baby which is then embedded in a Lucite block. A spokesperson for Fasotec says "[Mothers] said it felt great to see how their babies looked before birth... They also enjoyed looking at the model after giving birth, thinking, 'This is how my baby looked inside me,' and recalling how it felt to be pregnant." The company is calling the new product "Tensi no Katachi" which translates to "Shape of an Angel."

Not including the 3D imaging, a fetus statue will cost about $1,300.
Now we want to know... creepy or cool?!
