It, unfortunately, has been confirmed.
Former Blue Jay Pitching great Roy Halladay was killed in a plane crash today (Tues. Nov 07th) in the Gulf of Mexico, just off the coast of Florida.
Roy had just purchased his dream plane (A5) and was very proud and had Twitted that he was enjoying his retirement immensely. Flying was his passion.
This is the plane that crashed today. There were no ‘mayday’ calls received by authorities.
They called him “Doc” and he played in the big leagues for 16 impressive seasons with the Phillies and Blue Jays.
With 2 Cy Young Awards, 2 no hitters and 8 All Star Seasons, this guy will be going to the “Hall of Fame.”
Roy Halladay was only 40 years of age.
