It’s a rare day that Ottawa gets a ‘tornado watch’, but today is the day.

A severe thunderstorm warning preceded the tornado watch. Storms produced hail in some areas including Barrhaven, where boom 99.7 listener Chris Marshall took these pictures this morning.
The watch has disrupted many events planned for Ottawa today, including the protest expected to gather more than 1000 people against racism in front of the U.S. Embassy.
