Multiple reports of property damage, power outages and flooding across the GTA and Central Ontario after some very powerful thunderstorms moved through those areas.
Environment Canada issued a tornado warning for Huntsville at 4:20 p.m.
And on social media, we are seeing some damaged homes from that part of the world
Port Severn, Haliburton, Kingston and Belleville followed.
Reports out of LAKE OF BAYS, saying there’s a good amount of damage there, with 100 year trees reportedly “popping out of the ground, like dandelions.”
So some possible Tornado activity in Ontario this afternoon
Hydro One said over 14,000 customers in the Muskoka region were without power as of 5:45 p.m.
Meanwhile, crews in York region had to shut down some roads due to fallen hydro wires.
Take note; conditions in Ottawa are favourable for the development of some of these types of storms which would include the potential for damaging wind gusts, damaging hail and torrential rain.
The guesstimate is for about 8:00 – 8:30 pm tonight (Friday, August 04)
There is also a risk of a tornado.
