Last week, a girlfriend and I decided to check out MosaiCanada at Jacques Cartier Park. And I know. My pictures are pretty much the same as everyone else’s. But so be it.
I like to call this one “What does the fox say?” Original, I know.
This one is cool. Reminds me of the rock sculptures at the Ottawa River.
A horse that is slightly terrifying. It makes me think of what the thestrals would look like from the Harry Potter books. (using my imagination. Not the ones in the movies.)
A person. Sifting gold perhaps? Let’s go with that. GOLD. And hockey players celebrating. Perhaps winning GOLD.
A bird in a hand. That is also a cascading waterfall. Perhaps a reminder to not hang on to things too tightly. Yes….deep thoughts.
I think this one is the common favourite. Beautiful woman. That’s what we’ll call it. I imagine she’s listening to music. Or just shutting out the sound of wild children who won’t. Leave. Her. Alone.
Overall? Cool exhibit. I’m not a sign reader, but there are signs that explain all of the sculptures. I like to move at a fairly fast pace. I do not stroll. I walk with purpose. It took us about 30 minutes (so not the 90 minutes that’s suggested on the website.) Big thanks to the couple who paid it forward and let us use their parking pass!
