Paving of a runway and road at the Ottawa Airport will mean more noise and busy skies for normally quiet Ottawa neighbourhoods.
If you live in communities south or north of the YOW, you will notice some big changes. The good news is that it’s temporary. The project should be fully completed by November.
The most popular runways used for commercial air traffic are the 7 and 25, which run east/west. They will be closed all summer and in early October.
During this time, north/south runways 14 and 32 will be put into use.
At least they don’t land this LOW and this LOUD. Check out the sandstorm. That’s one way to get exfoliated!
I guess one perk from the construction is that your view of the city will change as you land and take off. If you couldn’t before, maybe you’ll finally be able to see your house!
