Ottawa does well in polls, and for the 2nd year running the Nation’s Capital has been ranked the #1 place to live in Canada (according to Money Sense Magazine).
Lofty heights indeed.
It’s not like they didn’t sample a lot of different cities. The sample size was huge.
In a ranking of 417 cities, towns and villages, Ottawa came out on top as a prosperous, affordable and safe city.
Ottawa rated highly for the economy, affluence, affordability, culture, safety, access to health care, airports and schools.
This is a clean city and as far as capital cities go, it has to be one of the cleanest, most unpolluted cities also. It also has pro hockey, soccer, baseball, football and one of the biggest music festivals in North America (RBC Ottawa Bluesfest).
It is an outdoorsy town that is close to rural villages, ski hills, libraries, bicycling and museums and by next year our transportation system will be much improved thanks to LRT.
Here’s looking up kid! We are not the City that ‘fun forgot” anymore.
