I think “Make a Wish” is such a feel good, tangible charity that I offered my support to Janet Lee Ferris who runs the local chapter here in Eastern Ontario.
She followed my offer up by asking me to jump off a building.
And of course I couldn’t say NO, right?
I have done some pretty wacky stuff in my days on the radio.
I’ve been in the demolition cars, I have raced cars, I have had people drive golf balls at me while I wore 13th century armour one time; goalie equipment the other.
My younger brother is actually a professional stunt man, and he once jumped off the Royal York Hotel in Toronto for a commercial so maybe I have some tiny little version of that running through my veins.
But I will tell you this much; it is not natural to step backwards off a 14 story hotel ledge.
But once you’re there, it’s not like you can back out, and once you’re rolling it’s all sweet sailing and a complete adrenaline rush.
Just got these photo’s from “Make a Wish.”
A couple of weekends back we repelled off the Marriott Courtyard/ Vanier Parkway.
The hotel was sold out too. Lots of funny faces and some good TV shows to watch on the way down.
Thanks to “Make a Wish” and more repelling coming up with “Easter Seals” in September.
