It didn’t take long.
CNN released a statement and expressed dismay in Kathy Griffin’s shocking photo session with Tyler Shields. Many others followed as Facebook and Social Media lit up with people of all political stripes — taking the comedian to task.
CNN has cut ties with her and their New Years working relationship.
Griffin was looking to do something ‘politically shocking,’ and she certainly found it, and despite her quick apology her utter lack of judgement was astounding.
It seems Griffin’s hate for President Donald Trump got the better of her and clouded her better judgement. There is nothing, I repeat NOTHING funny about what terrorists like ISIS routinely take part in.
Very few could even defend it in social media, and I’d suggest those who did are just as guilty as the perpetrator.
Yes, and some very bad people directed some of the same vitriol at Barack Obama also.
Two wrongs don’t make it right.
I think Kathy Griffins apology should be furthered and be personally directed to the Servicemen and Women of the United States Military (and the rest of the World for that matter) who are abroad fighting cold blooded Terrorists in very, very dangerous places around the Globe.
I hope this is a reality check for those who need to come to grips that while democracy isn’t perfect, it’s all we have. It has been fought for. Freedom comes with a cost. Even if you distrust, or dislike a person who holds office; always remember there is another day, another election — but nothing is worse than those who forget how good we have it, and that we still are blessed with choice as free men and women.
Democracy is a blessing that comes with a price. We won’t always get our way.
Leave the brutal violence, or even the suggestion of it — to the bad guys, please.
For the record, I am appalled by the photo shoot Kathy Griffin took part in. It is clearly disgusting and completely inappropriate.— Anderson Cooper (@andersoncooper) May 31, 2017
Kathy Griffin should be ashamed of herself. My children, especially my 11 year old son, Barron, are having a hard time with this. Sick!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) May 31, 2017
