That may be inevitable.
As you can see there are some real problems in Gatineau. We are hearing about problems to the West, in Constance Bay; to the South; Leeds-Grenville, and of course as I mentioned, to the East.
Flooding and Alerts in Effect with a good deal of rain in the forecast.
Up to 50 mills (plus) over the weekend, and not a lot of drying potential in the long-range forecast.
Brittania Beach & Park/ Flooded out
Gatineau is really getting it. It’s at its worse in the Lac Leamy area where there are some evacuations. The Gatineau Marina is up almost 40cms from normal.
The Ottawa River is high. Lake Ontario is high. The Gatineau River, the Mississippi, the Madawaska — are all being watched & sandbagged for localized flooding.
