Donald Trump is the first US President to not release his tax returns in 40 years.
His initial claim was that he was under audit, so he couldn’t.
The U.S. Treasury said that was not the case, the president then suggested voters don’t care.
Check out his Tweet regarding the election being over (that follows).
I did what was an almost an impossible thing to do for a Republican-easily won the Electoral College! Now Tax Returns are brought up again?— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 16, 2017
And now there is civil unrest because of this lack of disclosure. Trump’s break with precedent has raised questions about possible conflicts of interest.
Protesters at a rally in Raleigh, North Carolina, said they suspect that Trump’s returns might show he has paid little or nothing to the government he now heads, or that he was indebted to Russian, Chinese or other foreign interests.
“His reputation … as a businessman and, more importantly, as a true American, a person who is concerned with American values, would be totally destroyed if all his financial information was made public,” said Mike Mannshardt, a retired teacher.
To keep America great, Donald Trump needs to quit trying to distract American’s and disclose his tax returns. It is the American way, and Americans needs Trump to lead by example.
This is a chart that would indicate he may not have much to hide;
