That is a tough way to end a tough week in Washington for the new President of the United States of America. The closer, couldn’t close. Instead of losing the Paul Ryan Health Care Bill, they took it off the table — in hopes of another day.
They had even threatened to continue with “Obama Care” as some sort of punishment should the House vote this one down. Afterwords, the disappointment was palpable as Ryan addressed the media.
Make no mistake, this is a giant loss and a bad omen for a President who seemingly struggles with the very nature of poli-tics. He’s been rather used to uni-tics over the years using intimidation and bluster. Washington is its own animal and he is an impatient single minded businessman. Blame this on the Democrats all you want, but it’ll be his very own party that very well could be his undoing.
He needs to pull the GOP together or he will not get a 2nd Term. It is as simple as that. His approval numbers, at this stage, are historically as bad as they get.
