We’ve been talking about this one for a while.
It’s one of the highlights of “Ottawa 2017” and it’s ready for this weekend.
“Red Bull Crashed Ice” is one of the worlds fastest sports, on skates. It’s physical, it’s fast, it’s crazy. And they have ramps too!
It’s a big thrilling climax this weekend too which will bring a conclusion to the tightest season in the 17 years this event has been on the circuit.
Right now there’s a 4-way battle for the men’s title and a 3-way fight for the women’s championship.
The racing includes top Canadian point getters Myriam Trepanier from Quebec City, Jacqueline Legere from Paris and Scott Croxall from Port Credit.
All of them stand a chance to win their respective titles, this weekend.
There was some question following our recent bout of mild weather and rain, but the event is a go despite the weather. The track is refrigerated, and regardless, it looks like we’ll be seeing winter-like conditions this coming weekend anyway. There, in fact, is some snow in the forecast.
Take a look a what it’s like to race on one of these tracks! Wow
It’ll be a super exciting weekend in Ottawa, that’s for sure
