I love Matthew Hussey.
He’s become one of my filters – I often think to myself “What would Matthew Hussey say?” – and although I don’t always like the answer that I come up with, I’m confident that following his advice is helpful.
If you’re in a relationship, out of a relationship, want a relationship, he has so much to say on the subject. Last night, I came across this video – Will you ever find “The One” (don’t judge me!) – and this line struck me:
“The idea of love at first sight is an insult to long-term relationships where people have actually built something through effort, through hard work.” (Matthew Hussey, Will you ever find “the one?” 4:18 mark)
What he says makes sense.
Hollywood paints pictures of love and romance, but the big screen isn’t really the big picture of life.
Something to ponder at least. And if you have found ‘the one’, a reminder to keep working at your relationship and appreciating your special someone!
What do you think….
