The icy roads, especially on rural routes, have been causing all kinds of problems here in Eastern Ontario/and Western Quebec.
We saw the horrific school bus crash in rural Montreal yesterday (Feb.8) that miraculously ended with no injuries to report — even with 25 children aboard!
Today, a school bus in southwest rural Ottawa crashed in Manotick which resulted in a closure at Snake Island Road (both ways) East of Stagecoach Road (near Metcalfe), Manotick Station to Swale Road, and Stagecoach to Cabin.
Thankfully no children were on the bus, but there was an extrication performed by Ottawa Fire with another vehicle involved and serious injuries are suspected.
A police investigation is on-going, and no word on when we may see those roads in Manotick re-open.
We’ll keep you posted on BOOM.
