Yesterday, millions of Canadians raised millions of dollars for mental health (#letstalk).
Rocker Alice Coopers’ theory is that each and everyone of us has a mental illness within us, and certain stressors or life events — can unleash it.
Alice coped for years with alcohol, until he became a terrible alcoholic. An episode of brutal black depression scared him so much that he wrote a song (Hey Stoopid) that still rings true, for many, to this day.
Here he is speaking in a Nashville Studio along with legendary Canadian Producer Bob Ezrin (who had a son who didn’t survive a mental illness) about the dangers of mental illness and why it’s wise to get together to help those who suffer.
