I know this makes sense, but it’s one of those things that, unless it’s part of your life, it’s not necessarily something that you think about.
Where women who wear veils go to have their hair cut.
For most, the hijab is worn as a symbol of modesty and privacy.
But even if women don’t show their hair in public, that doesn’t mean that they don’t care about it. (It’s like splurging on nice undergarments. Even if nobody else sees them, it’s nice to treat yourself sometimes to things that are just. for. you.)
There are a few salons that are taking note and have private rooms where women who wear veils. One that’s currently in the news is Magicuts on Ogilvie. Other salons include Curly Hair Designs on Greenbank and L’Essence at St. Laurent Shopping Centre.
