It’s Friday the 13th. And we seem to be a superstitious people.
How else can we explain that the vast majority of buildings don’t have a 13th floor?
(Let’s think about that for a minute. How wild is that? That a superstition is so ingrained that it actually affects architecture and building plans?!)
This got Wendy and me talking about elevators/buildings in the city.
A quick google search revealed that there is indeed at least a building in Ottawa that has a 13th floor.
Where is this bold, brave tower you ask? 11 Colonel By Drive.
That’s right. The Westin Hotel has a 13th floor listed on the elevator panel!
Which of course begs the question – would you stay on the 13th floor?
