There are times I dream of moving to Australia. And then I see videos like this. And say a prayer of thanks that we don’t have huge poisonous snakes here. Or lots of deadly spiders. We have snow. Snow, I can handle. I may not like it, but I can handle it.
Apparently it took 3 hours for the brown snake to eat the python.
3 hours. That’s a long time to keep your mouth open. There are no food breaks when you’re eating a fellow snake.
As a side note, there are actually 4 types of venomous snakes that can be found in Canada:
the Northern Pacific rattlesnake (BC)
Massasauga rattlesnake (which is found in Ontario!)
Desert Nightsnake (BC)
and Prairie rattlesnake (Prairies…duh).
