It’s gonna be a party as we welcome 2017!
And really, I can’t think of a year that we’ve been more keen to be done with (in recent years, at least).
The City of Ottawa has posted everything you need to know in terms of road closures for the festivities. Here’s a quick visual.
The party starts at City Hall at 5:30 with free hot dogs, coffee and hot chocolate followed by a lighting ceremony at 6:15. The Fire of Friendship Torch Relay will include over 400 students – they’ll form a line from City Hall to Parliament Hill, the relay will end with the re-lighting of the Centennial Flame. Full details can be found at Ottawa 2017.
Wishing you and yours a wonderful celebration!
