Get ready Ontario. It’s already begun. What is being described as a ‘massive snow squall’ has already struck Southern Ontario and the GTA.
This monster “Colorado Low” is over the Great Lakes and said to be 1,000 km’s wide.
It’s a big swath.
We have Travel Advisories and Weather Warnings for parts of the GTA, Southern Ontario, Barrie, Central Ontario, Belleville, Barry’s Bay, Bancroft, Peterborough and most of the rest of Eastern Ontario including Ottawa/Gatineau.
In Ottawa we should see 12-20 cm’s from now until it’s over
For us; the Snow begins probably tomorrow afternoon, but there are SPECIAL WEATHER ALERTS for Georgian Bay, Central Ontario, Eastern and Southern Ontario (Travel Advisories are in Effect)
Here, it looks like 12-20 cm’s for Saturday, and warming up a little to Minus 5, and we’re also being told to watch for Freezing Rain on Saturday evening.
Up to Minus 3 on Sunday, but the Snow will taper off.
Check your flights, check your train schedule, and most certainly avoid travelling if at all possible.
