We certainly are experiencing some wild weather.
Today is #Ottawa‘s 102nd 24℃-plus day so far this year, 30% above the average of 77.9 days.
The Winds are up and Warm and Cold Fronts clash, but it was Southern and Central Ontario that took the worst of it last night and today.
As far as the Hottest October 18th goes. My search indicates that, although it feels like it’s 31, we’d have to beat 26.1 degrees to take the record from 1879.
The coldest day on this date was in 1902 at Minus 5.
We live in a pretty extreme weather center for sure.
Expect Cooler, seasonal and very wet weather over the next several days.
