…..Water that is.
As of 1:30 today the water system was completely flushed and you are good to slurp from the tap again! Yay, no more pirate baths.
They had a “pressure loss” which usually means low water levels and dry wells which makes sense as we are enduring drought conditions all across Ontario.
Water can now be used for drinking, cooking and bathing.
Before using the water it is recommended that you run it clean for a while, clean the screens, cycle water softeners, drain and refill water tanks and same goes for ice making machines.
Don’t be alarmed if you see rusty coloured water at first; it is not hazardous to your health.
Anyone who came into contact with municipal water before the advisory was lifted and is feeling unwell should check with a health-care provider or call Telehealth Ontario at 1-866-797-0000.
